Training Courses
engage provide a broad, yet tailored curriculum focusing on the key skills required in consumer goods across shopper marketing, customer management and field sales management. Below is an overview of the programs available.

Our training program modules are grouped into three competency levels within each discipline:

Ultimate flexibility
Programs are separated into one-day training modules.
Modules can be run either in-house or in conjunction with participants from other companies in ‘open’ seminars.
Individuals can attend one module, the entire program, or the entire academy, depending on their development needs or your company’s requirements at any time.
There is no pre-qualification requirement – participants can join a program on any module assuming this supports an identified development need.
We recommend modules to be spaced one month apart; optional one-on-one coaching is offered to each participant for three weeks after completing a module to embed learning and bring theory into practice; bespoke coaching programs can be developed for teams, internal trainers, or managers.
Trainer accreditation programs and tailored programs are available upon request.

Shopper Marketing Academy
“Shopper marketing is the natural evolution of Category Management” —Dr. Brian Harris
Shopper marketing is the latest response to retail consolidation and media fragmentation. It recognizes that real returns on in-store investment can only be achieved from changing shopper behavior. The Shopper Marketing Academy provides a practical grounding in the approaches and tools used to grow retail sales profitably.

Customer Management Academy
Retail is the biggest business on the planet. In 2000, the top ten global retailers earned sales of US$640 billion. By 2010, that number had almost doubled to US$ 1.1 trillion. In 2000, Wal-Mart revenue was US$165 billion; in 2010, the sales had grown by 260% to US$405 billion–making it the biggest company in the world. As retail consolidation continues, key customers demand greater attention and investment. engage’s Customer Management Academy equips your team to meet the challenge of driving mutual profitable growth with the world’s mega retailers.

Field Sales Academy
Small, independent retailers are not dying out. In many parts of Asia, the general trade constitutes 10 times as many outlets as the “modern trade”. Despite the rise of mega retailers, independent retailers offer shoppers convenience in the community. These channels presents a vital, profitable growth opportunity for those consumer goods companies who are equipped to effectively manage them. In fact, the general trade may be more profitable than the large chain stores. engage’s Field Sales Academy equips the whole field sales team to capitalize on the this trade potential.
