Before joining engage as Director of Consulting for Turkey and the Middle East, Kenan Nashat’s career in integrated marketing spanned over a quarter of a century across the UK, France, Turkey, Eastern Europe and Asia.
He started his career in direct marketing in London before moving to Turkey. there, he worked with BBDO developing BBDO direct (later Proximity) before creating his own boutique agency based on integrated marketing principles, which became one of the top 20 Turkish agencies with a roster including Cadbury’s, Premier Foods, Remy Cointreau and Bacardi.
He moved to Hungary in 2000 and created the country’s leading independent on-line wine portal before being acquired by the Hungarian wine marketing board. In 2004 he joined Grey as head of G2 (now Geometry Global) in Hungary and developed his interest for shopper marketing. During his time there he won the regional shopper marketing business for P&G across south east Europe, and the consolidated regional business for BAT. He built G2 from seed to represent 50% of total Grey revenue in Hungary in 5 years.
He has been based predominantly in Asia over the last 5 years (Bangkok and Hong Kong), driving thought leadership and building shopper marketing capabilities within WPP’s Team PG, and as regional shopper lead for Grey Shopper.
He is married with a teenage daughter. His passions include music, photography and consumer neuroscience.
