Mike Anthony

Mike is founder and CEO of engage.

A pioneer in shopper marketing, Mike Anthony is a passionate practitioner, speaker, and trainer who has helped countless businesses discover new opportunities and achieve better brand returns. After a consumer goods career spanning 17 years and three continents, Mike redirected his energy and enthusiasm toward founding engage, a global management consultancy that leverages the power of a unique vision of shopper marketing and customer management to deliver better brand returns.

As the firm’s CEO, Mike has worked with the world’s leading consumer goods companies, such as Nestle, GlaxoSmithKline ,Kimberly Clark, Electrolux, Johnson and Johnson, Sara Lee, and Unilever.

 

Toby Desforges

Toby is founder of engage.

Recognized as a revolutionary thinker in shopper marketing, Toby Desforges is co-founder of engage, a global consultancy that leverages the power of a unique vision of shopper marketing and customer management to deliver better brand returns.

A sought-after speaker, Toby has worked in line management and consultancy across Europe and Asia with leading companies including PepsiCo, Mars, Sony, Danone, Kao, Tesco and Fonterra. Toby is committed to developing measurable results for clients through innovative shopper marketing solutions

Toby founded engage with partner Mike Anthony in 2005.

 

Danaya Sinhaphalin (Duen)

Danaya is Director of Consulting at engage.

Danaya began her career at Unilever Thailand in 1991, where she spent a decade working in many roles across marketing, trade marketing and sales. During this period, Danaya led many changes to the Unilever organization, including new approaches to shopper research, introducing integrated account teams and leading the development of category management as well as supply chain management projects for the organization.

Prior to joining engage, Danaya was Director of Consulting at Glendinning Management Consultants, working on a wide variety of projects, including joint working category management, national category strategy development, sales structure and organization, and benchmarking.

Danaya's industry experience across Asia encompasses multiple industries, and she has worked with such leading companies and retailers as BJC, Mead Johnson, Pernod Ricard, Fonterra, L'Oreal, Carrefour and Watsons.

 

Watcharewan Hundasiri (Mod)

Watcharewan is a Consultant at engage.

Prior to joining the engage team in 2007, Watcharewan devoted the first three years of her career to Taylor Nelson Sofres (Thailand), building expertise, responding to the demands of managing customized research projects and rising to Senior Project Manager. She has experience in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and has worked on local and global accounts in a broad range of industries including personal goods, dairy products, QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), healthcare and NPO.

Watcharewan brings shrewd analytical skills to the engage team. Her background in market research helps leverage the insight and strategies gained through the engageAssess™ and Purchase Activation™ projects with our clients in Asia. In particular, clients across the region are benefiting from her expertise in managing and executing engageAssess™.

 

Varaporn Senavong

Associate Consultant

With a strong background in Trade Marketing and Channel Management developed from working at Unilever Thailand, Thai Namthip and Glendinning Management Consultants, Varaporn has used this experience to successfully lead  a wide variety of training events and facilitated workshops for marketing, trade and sales functions from a wide range of industries.

 

Somsak Naraviroj

Associate Consultant

With over 20 years of experience in customer management with Unilever Thailand, Somsak’s has worked with key customers, distributors and sales teams in both general trade and modern trade. His expertise covers field sales management, distributor management, key customer management ant the managing and coaching of sales teams.

 
Tim Asquith

Tim Asquith

Associate Director of Consulting

Tim started his career with Cadbury Schweppes, based in the UK, in 1981. He has worked through virtually every role in the sales arena, from territory salesman, through regional and national accounts including Wal-Mart and a spell in international sales covering Africa. Moving to Malaysia in 2000, Tim was firstly sales director, then general manager for Cadbury. Following Cadbury’s acquisition by Kraft Tim lead the merged sales forces.
His development of shopper marketing approaches in Malaysia are recognised across the FMCG industry as a global standard.

With a strong interest in both talent & capability development, and a continuing focus on “the moment of truth”, Tim is committed to raising the bar of the consumer goods industry, in delivering true shopper-focused brand initiatives.

 
Nick Williams - Engage Malaysia

Nick Williams

Managing Director - Malaysia

Nick Williams is known across Asia and an expert in sales strategy and execution across all aspects of the trade. A veteran of Nestle, GSK and Sara Lee, he has lead sales teams both in Europe and Asia. As a consultant he has advised leading companies in process design, capability development and in the management of trade expenditure.

Nick joined engage in 2011 as the head of our business in Malaysia.

After a successful career with leading FMCG companies in the UK; John was a founding partner in Glendinning Management Consultants and lead the company’s development in Europe and Asia.

An expert in customer management he has worked in Asia for the past 15 years creating customer strategy, trade investment framework and developing capability. To date John estimates he has trained over 5000 individuals around the world. John joined the engage team in 2009.

Marisa has over fifteen years working experience with Unilever covering Marketing, Trade Marketing and Sales. She has led Unilever leading edge approaches to category management including channel strategies and shopper blueprints.

After Arparat completed her bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in marketing, she began her career at Homerun Consulting, a qualitative-based market research. She spent the first three years handling global and regional projects. She then decides to step into shopper marketing world with engage consultants where she believes she could develop her career to a great consultant.

She currently decides to take a next level of her career at engage consultants.
